SOME POPULAR QUESTIONS
Q: How many plate copies can I have?
A: Your choice. The price is based on volumes and if you pay for 200 nl you may divide it over more plate copies. E.g. you may have 2 copies of 100nl or 4 copies of 50 nl and so on.
Q: Why are screen/single point prices lower for service projects compared to PRC projects?
A: For PRC projects where CBCS is responsible for executing the screen the follow up is free of charge. Service projects will be charged for follow up requests (see price list), hence the lower initial price. In the end the cost will be the same for both. This change is done to make invoicing easier for compound center and facilitate flexibility for you and CBCS assay enablers.
Q. Why is the price the same for industry as for academic groups?
A: It´s only the access to compounds that are the same. For industry an hourly cost and shipping will be added.
Q: What is the difference between “follow up” and “cherrypicking”?
A: Our definition of follow up is the hit confirmation, dose response and analogs you do after a full library screen.
1. Hit confirmation 3-point Follow up 1% hit rate considered average value
2. Dose Response 11-point Follow up ~30-40 compounds
3. Analogs 11-point Follow up max 64 compounds
After that you are considered done with follow up and are welcome to make cherrypicking requests.
Q: I´m academic and hosting compounds at your facility. It seems expensive to pay 3000 SEK every time I´d like my compounds dispensed? Why is it cheaper for industry?
A: For that cost you receive a free space to store your compounds, free space in our logistic software, almost limitless hours of work, access to instruments and professional handling including shipping (within Sweden). Industry is not cheaper but pay by an hourly rate based on covering full cost.
