Some Popular Questions

How many plate copies can I have?

As many as you like. The price is based on dispensed volumes, and if you pay for 200 nl you may divide it into multiple plate copies.
For example:

  • 2 copies of 100 nl
  • 4 copies of 50 nl
  • …and so on.

Why are screen/single‑point prices lower for service projects compared to PRC projects?

For PRC projects, where CBCS is responsible for executing the screen, the follow‑up is free of charge.
Service projects, however, are charged for follow‑up requests (see price list), which is why the initial price is lower.
In the end, the total cost becomes similar.
This adjustment makes invoicing easier for the Compound Center and increases flexibility for both you and CBCS assay enablers.

What is the difference between “follow up” and “cherrypicking”?

Follow up is preceeded by a single point screen whereas cherrypicking is not.
What we usally refer to as follow up is hit confirmation, dose response and analogs.

Estimated Delivery Times

Estimated delivery time is 5–10 working days after the request is considered complete.

A request is complete when:

  • The list of compounds is finalized
  • Destination plates are delivered
  • Any required controls are delivered
  • All layout and concentration questions have been answered

Delivery times depend on the workload at the Compound Center.
During periods of high workload, CBCS PRC‑projects and DDD‑projects will be prioritized.
